Securing Rights And Freedoms For All
supporting personal and collective activism towards the re-establishment of democracy
Rights to dissent–to participate in public affairs through criticism, opposition or protest–are essential to democracy and the maintenance and protection of human rights.
Democracy is strengthened through informed, lawful exercise of rights to participate in public affairs and decision-making through sharing of information, debate and dissent. Globally, rights to dissent are increasingly restricted, misrepresented, and criminalized by state parties seeking to impose repressive measures while avoiding democratic remedies and accountability.
This website, Constructive Dissent, is dedicated to imparting information, inspiring debate, and encouraging individual and collective action to restore and protect democratic, rights-based, rule of law governance.
